I used to prey the Lord and never wanted more
I was told He was right and that's what I had to know
I thought it was my duty for having saved my soul
Cuz I was told that faith was not to annoy our Lord
I used to prey this God as I pay for a tax
I was glad to do this thing cuz it was all for the pax
I believed the Lord a judge that never can be wrong
That he loved all of us, that He was good and strong
But once upon a time I had to wake from this dream
Cuz everything I knew didn't seem to be real
I realized human nature as it is and it is wrong
Cuz everything we do is made to hurt someone we love
I surrendered to the idea God is not right at all
That any good expression has been exiled and has to fall
And I asked to an empty sky where's our Lord gone
